New Delhi: South Korean handset maker Samsung on Thursday launched its much awaited smartphones Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 for India priced at Rs. 29,400 and Rs. 33,400 respectively.
On specifications front, the new Galaxy A7 houses 13-megapixel primary camera along with LED flash and a 5 MP secondary camera.
The handset houses 5.5 inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution Super Amoled display and has 3 GB of RAM. The smartphone also packs an octa-core Exynos SoC (unspecified model) clocked at 1.6GHz. The smartphone houses 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expandable upto 128 GB via microSD card.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, ANT+, USB 2.0 and NFC.
Backed by powerful 3300mAh battery, the handset also has accelerometer, geomagnetic sensors and a fingerprint scanner.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy A5 shares most features with Galaxy A7 but with some modification. Unlike A7, A5 has 2GB of RAM and features 5.2-inch full-HD AMOLED display.
It has 2900 mAh battery and weighs 155 grams.
However, both handsets run on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
