Thousand voices unite to welcome Bangla New Year

Sunsilk and Channel i joined hands together for the 4th time to celebrate the beauty and confidence of the youth through ‘Hajaro Kanthe Barshabaran’, where a thousand voices from talented young artistes united together to embrace the New Year. The event was held on the open premises of Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital on April 14.
‘Hajaro Kanthe Barshabaran’ is a signature event organised by Surer Dhara, a school of Rabindra Sangeet established by renowned singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya.
The celebrations began with a flute recital by Abdul Hakim. Then Bannya presented a solo song titled ‘Otho Otho-re Bipole Probhat-o Gare Jay-re’. Then Bannya led thousands of artistes in the rendition of ‘Ohe Doya Moy’. Later, there was a dance performance by Shadhona dance group and afterwards, there was a Sunsilk Fashion Show. At the programme, Rezwana Choudhury Bannya presented Pancha Kabi songs.
In addition, there were numerous performances from various musicians. LRB and Ayub Bachchu performed rock music at the event.
Apart from the performance, there was a Baishakhi Mela arrangement for the audience. Numerous stalls were placed on the premises, which offered an array of pithas, clay-pots and various traditional items.
