Two-week photography show at RCSC

To mark the ‘International Day of Human Space Flight’, Cosmonautics Day in Russia, a two-week photography exhibition is underway at the Russian Center of Science and Culture (RCSC) in the capital’s Dhanmondi. The inaugural ceremony of the exhibition was held on the RCSC premises on April 12.
The exhibition introduces about the life of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin and the first woman cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova.  On this day, April 12, 1961, a citizen of the Soviet Union, Major Yuri Gagarin on the spaceship ‘Vostok’ for the first time in the world made an orbital flight around the Earth, opening the era of manned space flight. According to the decision of the International Aeronautical Federation of April 12 is considered to be the International Day of Cosmonautics. The exhibition is open for the visitors until 30 April 2017.
