World Youth Archery: Shakib Mollah finishes 24th in Recurve Jr Boys

Md Shakib Mollah of Bangladesh finished 24th in the qualifying round of Recurve Junior Boys in the World Archery Youth Championship scoring 638 at Zona Sur Univesity Sports Complex in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday.

Another Bangladeshi archer Tamimul Islam finished 35th scoring 632, Md Hakim Ahmed Rubel finished 44th scoring 628 among 111 archers.

In the round 48, Shakib Mollah will face Gorshkov Andrey of Kazakhstan, Tamimul Islam will meet Andrzej Nescior while Hakim Ahmed Rubel to play Nik Bizjak of Slovenia on Wednesday at the same venue.

In the qualifying round of Recurve Junior Girls, Mahanaz Akter Monera finished 52nd scoring 583 among 73 archers.  She will play Charlotte Destrooper of Belgium in the round 48 on Wednesday.

In Recurve Junior Boys team, Bangladesh team comprises Shakib Mollah, Tamimul Islam and Hakim Ahmed Rubel finished 9th among 28 countries scoring 1898.

In the round of 12, Bangladesh team will play Austria team comprises Julian Schweighofer, Noah Schoenfellner and Dieter Daxbock on Wednesday.

In the Recurve Junior mixed team, Bangladesh comprises Mahanaz Akter Monera and Shakib Mollah finished 23rd scoring 1221 among 35 countries.

The Bangladesh pair will play Elisa Tartler and Jonathan Vetter of Belgium on Wednesday at the same venue.
